Introduction

The Austrian Workers‘ Compensation Board (AUVA) has launched a management system for occupational health and safety, known as AUVA-SGM. This standard meets the requirements of the EU-guidelines for OSH-management systems and also covers the main legal obligations deriving from the Austrian Workers‘ Compensaiton Act („ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz“). The aim of this web-based application is to support organizations of all types and sizes throughout the progress of (re-) assessing the current status of their OSH management system. After having answered a set of questions according to the eight chapters of the AUVA-SGM standard. The application is being used by professional consultants as well as interested people within organizations.

The application allows you to start at which ever chapter you decide to work on first. • assessment of occupational hazards and risks
  • planning and purchasing
  • coordination of external people
  • repair and maintenance of machines and plants
  • inspections and examinations
  • emergencies and hazardous situations
  • health assessment
  • worker wellbeing/ welfare
